  • "A story of a love so powerful it broke down all barriers between past and present. Between life and death. Between the golden girl in the dark tower and the tawdry redhead that he tried to remake in her image."

Turns out, ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space’ Has One of the Best Movie Speeches Ever

The combination of eerie music and mesmerizing NASA imagery of the sun makes a speech from one of the most notoriously bad, but also beloved sci-fi movies, Plan 9 from Outer Space, beautifully poignant.

If you haven’t seen this film, the guy giving the humans a much-needed talking to about their destructive tendencies is the alien Eros. Eros warns the humans that their hunger for bigger weapons will eventually lead them to discover solaranite, which when exploded would set off a chain reaction that would destroy the entire universe.

Plan 9 from Outer Space was written/directed by Ed Wood and stars Bela Lugosi, Gregory Walcott, Dudley Manlove, andMaila Nurmi aka Vampira.

  • Classic Hollywood the Only Era for Romantic Movies - Yahoo! Movies - For those of you who feel modern day romance movies are lacking in taste, perhaps you should return to the days when onscreen couples knew how to kiss, not eat each others’ faces off. If you’re tired of the cliched rom-coms and want to watch a couple have a real conversation, then classic is where it’s at.
